SLFA President Inspects Construction of 435-Seater Pavilion at Football Academy

Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) President Babadi Kamara has inspected the ongoing construction of a 435-seater pavilion at the SLFA Football Academy in Kingtom, a project funded and donated by him to the Association. The inspection was witnessed by SLFA General Secretary Mohamed Benson Bawoh and Deputy General Secretary Ishmail Saidu Kanu Esq., as the Association continues efforts to improve football infrastructure across the country. The pavilion, valued at over US$250,000, will feature a modern electronic scoreboard and is expected to enhance the Academy’s capacity to host football matches, training sessions, and coaching courses in a more professional and secure environment. Speaking during the inspection, Kamara expressed satisfaction with the progress and quality of work, while commending the contractors for their efforts. He said the project forms part of his commitment to supporting sustainable investments aimed at improving football development in Sierra Leone. The construction represents another step in the SLFA’s broader efforts to upgrade football facilities, raise operational standards, and create improved conditions for players, coaches, officials, and supporters.
